Stamp Out Despair

On Sunday, September 15 at 10:45, we will be participating in the Stamp Out Despair program, which provides stationary to individuals held in migrant detention centers. Stamp Out Despair is a program of First Friends of New Jersey and New York.

What should I bring? Please bring five blank cards and five greeting cards with envelopes. We will provide everything else you need.

What if I forget cards? You can still write letters of support! The more the better.

Why are we doing this? Supporting migrants is one way we welcome the stranger. You can read more about the ELCA’s commitment to accompanying migrants and providing sanctuary by clicking here.
