Our Sunday School program for children begins with 4-year olds (PreK) and goes up through grade 5 students. We continue to use the curriculum “Spark” published by Augsburg Fortress, a Bible based resource connecting worship, learning, and service. Classes begin in specified rooms at 9:20 am and the children will join the church service around 10:15 to participate in the Children’s Sermon and communion. Classes meet every Sunday with exceptions for holiday and school vacation weeks.
The Sunday School directs our Christmas pageant in which all students are invited to participate.
Confirmation class students meet after the 9:30am service Sunday mornings at 10:40. Pastor Peggy coordinates and teaches this program.
Making their First Holy Communion this year will be all of our 5th graders.
Our 8th graders will be confirmed in the Spring.
The Adult Education group meets on Sunday morning after service from 10:45 – 11:30am to study the Bible in the library. This is a relaxed forum endeavoring to discover the Bible’s relevance to us today. We generally focus on a specific area of the Bible, chosen by the group. No prior experience with the Bible is required – just bring an open, questioning mindset to the meetings – we will even provide a Bible if you need one. Gerry will guide us. New participants are always welcome!
